|
|a There are two languages of communication. One is the objective, definitive, cerebral, logical, analytic language of reason. The other is the language of imagery, metaphor, symbols, synthesis and totality. The digital (logical) and analogic (symbolic) functions of language relate directly to the functions of the two hemispheres of the brain. An understanding of communications in therapy results in utilization of effective therapeutic techniques. Guidelines include research background, imagery, language patterns and use and behavior prescriptions for psychotherapy
